Dutch Education System
The Netherlands know two types of higher education: research universities and universities of applied sciences.
The Gereformeerde Hogeschool is a university of applied sciences. A university of applied sciences offers professional programs in the applied arts and sciences that prepare students for specific careers. The Gereformeerde Hogeschool concentrates itself on human-relatesd study programs in the fields of Education, Health Care, Social Work and Theology.
